2-9-2010 - NO cases of flu (H1N1) reported today for Intermediate School

H1N1 INFORMATION District 11 is working closely with the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) to help reduce the spread of influenza in students and staff in our schools. As the school year progresses, we are experiencing more Influenza-like-illness and absentee rates will likely fluctuate. As you may know, influenza is spread easily from person to person and is tyically transmitted more in fall and winter when students congregate indoors.

At this time schools in District 11 will continue to tract the situation closely and send daily absence reports to DCHD. When school absenteeism rate reaches 10% (which can be typical during the regular flu season), DCHD advises school districts to inform parents. Fortunately, absenteeism throughout the District 11 has not reached this level.

LABORATORY DIAGNOSED CASES OF H1N1 IN DISTRICT 11 FOR FEBRUARY 9, 2010 IS ZERO.
